Conway Road Methodist Church,Canton,CF11 9NT.
This has been a regular venue for our showcases over the past few years. The music performed will include Musical Theatre,Gospel,Classical and Sacred songs,and a large number of ensemble items. The age of the singers performing will be 8yrs-30yrs.

All LRVS students performed a
2hr Live Showcase at Glanfa Stage, Millenniun Centre, Cardiff bay on
opening night of Les Miserables.

SHOWCASE
at St.Germans Church.40 students performed,22 soloists,and 18 ensemble.

Thursday July 2nd 2009: JAZZ GIG
at the Jazz Cafe,St.Marys St.Cardiff. Always a popular event,with it's warm and intimate atmosphere.Experienced,regular artists perform Jazz, Blues and Contemporary standards,accompanied by a jazz trio. This is also an opportunity to introduce my new artists to the stage.

Saturday July 4th 2009: TESCO STAGE
at the Cardiff Millenium Centre,Cardiff Bay.
3 soloists, Lucie Jones, Emily Langford and Giorgia Warsama, will be performing, along with 2 LRVS vocal ensemble items, between 4-5pm.
This event is a sponsored performance to help raise funds for the South Glamorgan Festival for Young Musicians in 2010.

Friday July 10th 2009:
LUCIE JONES
held a fundraising showcase, at Pentyrch Village Hall, 7.30pm.
Lucie has received a place at Italia Conti school of Performing Arts,in London.
The entry fee is £5,with a raffle during the interval. Lucie will perform along with a number of her very talented friends.
Personal fundraising events,such as this,have become a popular trend amongst performers in recent years,as government funding for further education is not so available.

L.R.V.S. performed at the National Assembly, Cardiff Bay, for this highly successful NSPCC fundraising event.

South Glamorgan Festival for Young Musicians

L.R.V.S. won Senior Ensemble Trophy with Amazing Grace (arr. L. Ryan)

Emily Langford won both her categories. Lucie Jones won the Classical Category and the highly acclaimed "Most Promising Vocal Performance" trophy.

L.R.V.S. performed in St David's Hall along with Peter Karrie and other special guests for the BOPATH Charity.

L.R.V.S. perform at St Edwards Church, Penylan, Cardiff.

 

Tuesdays 5.45-6.45pm.
£5 per session. Cardiff High Dance Studio.
I have introduced this important class,for students interested in auditioning for Performing Arts institutes,who may not have had previous training in this area.
It is particularly designed to focus on the requirements necessary, for college entry and is proving to be great fun and very helpful to my current students.
